Log #11 - Trusting the process

It has been almost 30 days since I started this Meta Ads campaign :

I get about 2 emails a day. The ad is doing well with lots of likes, comments, and shares. But I haven’t gotten any clients yet. This week, I switched from MailChimp to ActiveCampaign (cheaper and better in my opinion) I updated the 7-day email course and will start sending one newsletter each day to connect better with my audience.

Here’s the issue: I’m running out of money to keep trying this idea. I need a clear deadline to decide if I should keep going or stop and try something else. So I’ve decided to keep going until the end of the first week of January. This is because of New Year’s resolutions : if I can’t get at least one person to sign up by then, it’s probably better to stop.

In case it doesn't work, my only other option for now is to resume looking for copywriting clients. I started a few weeks ago, but it’s not what I enjoy most. So, when the chance to try an ad came up, I jumped at it. Now, I can work on building a list of potential clients so that if the Meta ad doesn’t bring me any clients, I’ll be ready to jumpstart the copywriting.

The hard thing right now is dealing with the emotional side of things. It's really tough to keep pushing forward while watching the money burn. On top of that, learning to code takes time and is challenging. This week, I had a rough day where I was just battling with myself.

On the other side, unless my ad gets deactivated by Meta, I feel pretty confident about it. I’m seeing engagement, people are subscribing, I have a good conversion rate on the opt-in, and I’m addressing a clear pain point that people want to resolve. Plus, I already had clients for the same theme a couple of years ago.

Fingers crossed! 🤞

I almost completed the Object Basics lesson in the Odin Project (one exercise left). This one is really tough, I'll keep practicing objects over the next few weeks.
