Log #12 - Tough decision

In the last log, I talked about trusting the process for my ad and not making any changes until the end of the first week of January.

Turns out, I decided to end it today.

I didn't make this decision out of thin air. I carefully analyzed what was happening, and with the new data I received, it made sense to stop it.

New Data #1: No conversions during the week.

I looked at the graphs from the last 30 days, and the only times I get conversions are on Saturday, Sunday, and a little on Monday.

The rest of the week, I’m just burning money.

I thought about running the ad only on those days, but two other pieces of data made me change my mind.

New Data #2: No engagement after conversions.

After someone gives their email, there’s nothing but crickets.

Nobody emails me to answer the questions I ask, nobody completes the survey, and nobody clicks on the Calendly link to book a discovery call.

With 50 conversions and based on my previous experience with seremettredunerupture.com, I should at least have one discovery call and a few people reaching out by email.

So, I think it’s wise to avoid falling into the sunk cost fallacy.

Yes, I spent money, but no, it’s not worth continuing to try at this point.

Another thing I realized is that my budget was clearly not enough to run an effective ad. I got caught up in the idea of getting 10 emails per day with just 5 euros a day because of Facebook's projections.

At least I tried, and I can move on to the next thing without any regrets.

So, I’m going to take a couple of weeks for myself and think about what to do next.
