Log #2 - 3 new launches, 2 abandons, 1 promising idea
What I did this week :
- Launched Cheap Dates: The idea is to focus on keywords like “at home date ideas” and other budget-friendly date topics, and make money through an affiliate program.
- Launched Attached Academy: The goal is to build a website around keywords related to attachment styles (I have experience from my first site seremettredunerupture.com). The plan is to offer an online course about my own method. Even though the keywords are competitive, there are so many people searching for this that getting even 10% of the market would be worth it.
- Launched Spirit Animal World: The idea is to create a blog around “spirit animal” keywords, offering a quiz to find out your spirit animal and then selling a personalized guide at the end. There are already a few successful sites on these keywords. One focuses mainly on jewelry, and another has a similar idea to mine but only sells one guide. Like with Attached Academy, there’s a lot of search traffic, so even getting a small part of the market would be valuable.
- Installed WordFence on all my websites: I’ve been hacked before, so I want to avoid that happening again. I also added CloudFlare for extra security.
- Published 1 article for SOP Mate Pro and 1 for Week Fit.
- Built backlinks for Week Fit.
- Dropped the keyword ‘Examples of Executive Summaries’: It seems too hard to rank on the first page, and the potential revenue doesn’t seem worth the effort.
- Dropped the keyword "Copywriter Freelance" for now : I have a faster way to try this idea, more on that at the end.
- Completed lessons 13/18 and 14/18 of the JavaScript course: I mostly learned about modules.
- Decided to try freelance copywriting: A friend of mine started doing this, and I hadn’t thought about it before (I mean, I had few years ago but I was insecure about it). Now I have the experience and proof (one funnel of mine made €50k total). So, I decided to use my Scrap.io subscription to collect as many emails as possible from Google Maps. I gathered 11k emails in Paris region for niches such as psychologists, naturopaths, dog trainers, coaches, and more.
